Institute of Risk and Insurance

Welcome to the Institute for Risk and Insurance. Our institute bundles the insurance-related research and teaching at the Faculty of Economics and Management. Teaching and research at our institute are characterized by a clear international orientation and the integration of numerous professional relations. In our research, we focus on the decision-making of buyers and sellers of insurance products. We strive for high quality research with relevance to the scientific community and practice. Our teaching combines an application-oriented and methodologically advanced education. Due to our affiliation with the House of Insurance (HoI) we maintain close contact with the Institute of Insurance and Financial Mathematics, the chair of Civil Law, Insurance Law and Private International Law and, in particular, with the insurance companies based in Hanover, resulting in a lively exchange of interdisciplinary and practice-oriented insurance research. At the institute, Dr. Damm's group also deals with health care research and is a member of CHERH.

Deutschsprachige deutsch-polnische Sommerschule, Warschau

Du möchtest im Sommer nach Polen reisen und internationale Erfahrungen sammeln? Dann bewirb dich für die deutschsprachige deutsch-polnische Sommerschule "Auf festem Fundament? Die Beziehungen zwischen Polen und Deutschland in Wirtschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft"!

Dieses Jahr bietet die SGH Warsaw School of Economics wieder eine deutschsprachige deutsch-polnische Sommerschule zu den deutsch-polnischen Beziehungen an, die vom DAAD über das Go East Programm (http://goeast.daad.de/) unterstützt wird. Sie steht dieses Jahr unter dem Titel: „Auf festem Fundament? Die Beziehungen zwischen Polen und Deutschland in Wirtschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft" und findet vom 3 bis zum 15. September 2023 in Warschau statt.
