The ongoing work of the Institute is supported by the Verein zur Förderung der Versicherungswissenschaft an der Leibniz Universität Hannover, founded in June 1989, with insurance science research projects, excursions, guest lectures and the Institute's specialist library as the main areas of support. The board of this association consists of Thomas Schröder (chairman), Dr. Heiner Feldhaus, Dr. Ulrich Knemeyer, Thomas Flemming, Dr. Michael Pickel and Uwe Reuter.
